Homeland Security is already implementing technology to be enforced at security events which purportedly reads malintent on behalf of an individual who passes through a checkpoint. http://prisonplanet.tv/

@Koomo0069 If you're going to attempt to insult me, don't fail in the process. You're butchering the English language, which--amusing as it is--is most likely your native language, which merely makes this more sad than originally conceived. -
Koomo0069

AKARaccoons
@Koomo0069 I don't follow your flawed, if existent, logic. -

You-all take them braclets off , hand them to the piggy, and he will go install these zap braclets on the nikumpoops that are working so hard on this nonsense. Every time they think of another scam, they can zap themselves , until all the subjugation fantasys aren't part of their phycosis anymore, just like shock thereapy , only self treated.

Are you trying to smuggle a joint? -
tsenzei
But hey, you disagree? That's fine. You go trade your dignity, privacy, and all that, just don't expect others to give it all up for a highly unlikely if not statistically impossible hypothetical event.* *(Namely, that some form of attack occurs that other, already present security measures couldn't handle if people did their jobs right, that those further measures actually would.) -
tsenzei
In the last decade, the success or near success of terrorist attacks in US airplanes were due to negligence, and/or were carried out in such a manner that the new measures would have been ineffective anyway. (I don't blame security personnel for the most part mind you, I blame crazy bastards that want to blow shit up.) I don't care what morons think, or who they might sue in a hypothetical situation. Invasive radiation scans and synthetic profiling should not be a requirement for travel. -
tsenzei
It also means that those morons (and they are at that) should try suing DHS (which controls TSA) or TSA before they sue the airline, if indeed there was a lapse in security. That said, the financial liability of the TSA or the Airline is not my chief concern. Putting into place costly, invasive, and generally worthless, security measures that demean people in the name of "safety" does concern me. -
tsenzei
So those that, for example, travel for business, or otherwise are involved in traveling often or going to "security events" (such as sports events, according to the example video), shouldn't be fine? Once or twice may be fine, physically, but most people that travel, do so more often than that. As for airline security, at least in the US, that is handled by the TSA, and Airlines must comply with their regulations, as such, this is not simply a commercial issue, but a legal one as well. -
DarrenGator
The effect of said machine is cumulative so the average traveler will not be exposed to and significant harm. Words can be damaging and making it sound af if going though the machine once or twice will cause harm is irresponseable. As far as it being a requirement if the airlines it is thier right to use such an item. Lets face it if a terrorist blows up a plane how many morons are gonna sue the airlines for "not providing enough security". -
tsenzei
And, of course, there is the old quote that many ascribe to as well: "They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety." -
tsenzei
You will never, ever, be completely safe from harm, no matter how many "security" measures you put in place. Setting that aside however... these new measures have several flaws: 1. They are ineffective much of the time. Or 2: Are no more effective than "standard" security measures. Much of the time, terrorist attacks, or even the current financial issues across the globe, are accomplished through people not exercising the power they already have. -
tsenzei
General radiation and electromagnetic background is much less of an issue than targeted radiation. X-Ray scans for example, are limited, and the operators take care to avoid cumulative exposure by using lead-based shields and refined targeting. Even relatively "light" exposure adds to what is already there with the background radiation. Though some forms are safer than others. Regardless whether it is healthy or unhealthy: it is not currently, and should not be, a requirement for travel. -
DarrenGator
OMG dude do you know how much radiation and electromannetics you are exposed to every day? just the electronics in your home? The cell phone you use. Get educated before making a comment like this.
