September 2009 the little crawler tractor was parked up, shut down, and covered over for the winter. March 2010 the sun is out, the day is warm and spring feels like it is definitely on its way. Now seems like a good idea to uncover the little tractor, check it out and see if it will fire into ...

@JONTEJOY Ah your talking about my vintage Petrol Lawn Mowers - "ATCO" made in the 1950's and still being used by myself to cut the grass once a week during the summer time... I bought one, then another and another :-) I have 3 Atco and 1 Qualcast - I just like old mechanical things for some reason... Thanks Jonas -
JONTEJOY

Bevoin1970
Cheers Ian, figured you'd like this, :-) The only down side is, i dont have the room to take it out and have a good drive. You dont want to be driving it on hard concrete, because of wearing down the tracks, and I'll churn the grass up if I keep slewing it around the garden.. First show if I go is in June, at Stafford on 2 & 3rd but thats mid-week?? after that next dates are July, so a while to go yet before we stretch her tracks once again. Aug 7&8th at Braybrooke, Market H'Boro is VGood -

Ralf, you only burn your arms or leg once, then you quickly learn not to do it again... ha ha Glad you like my little crawler, I love it too. its quite unusual. Thank you for your nice comments and for watching and rating . Have a nice day. :-) -

Hi Paul a great restoration , the crawler , i think the exhaust is on a dangerous place , burn your arms and legs ?? i told you bevore , little crawler is my favourite from your collection 5* for you , Paul what else !!! Ralf -
Bevoin1970
Yes I know about that, its just I have to make a conscious effort to do it, and I simply forget, because its not a natural position to hold your thumb in when grabbing hold of a handle. Can't lay claim to the restoration as I bought it already done, however it does look very nice. The colour is not accurate in this video, my camera has made it look more turquoise blue than it really is. Thanks for watching... -
harrylarry30
hi You want to keep your thumb on the same side a your fingers on the starting handle, as if that backfires, your thumb has no chance otherwise. Love your vids, i'm a Ransomes Fan and nice restoration you have done!!! -

Thanks Walter, Yes I was a little surprised at how soon it fired up, I was expecting more trouble, it showed me didn't it...?? Ha Ha. Its from an age when things were built to last, therefore less complicated... Petrol / Air / Spark and a good right arm is all thats required. :-) Thanks Walter. -
